Keynote Speakers

Rebecca Weinstein

Vice President of Design, Highgate Hotels

Rebecca Weinstein is Vice President of Design at Highgate Hotels. In her role, Rebecca builds the design team and guides the creative process from concept through to completion. As many of Highgate’s properties are independent, Rebecca and her team influence the entire life-cycle of the project; weaving the storytelling through every aspect of the guest experience, all while managing the design budget and schedule. As a key member of LUCID; Highgate’s Design & Construction team, Rebecca serves as the sustainability lead. In partnership with Highgate’s VP of Sustainability, Rebecca researches and tests new ESG initiatives and eventually leads the team through implementation.

Prior to joining Highgate, Rebecca was an Associate at Wimberly Interiors, where she led the design team on projects across the US and Asia. Before that, she was a Senior Designer in Gensler’s Hospitality Studio. She lived abroad on-site for a large-scale casino project in Vietnam – where she learned to build, both on site and in factories across Asia, and infuse local culture into her projects.

Rebecca holds a BFA from Syracuse University and is a NCIDQ registered Interior Designer.

Brands, owners, and management companies are seeking design firms with the knowledge, training, and tools to support their sustainability goals and reporting requirements.

In collaboration with Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, and Highgate Hotels, MindClick is offering a hospitality industry credentialing program for design firms. To qualify, 20% or more of a design firm’s hospitality team must attend or watch the recorded version of 4 of the 5 education sessions.

MindClick accredited design firms will be prioritized in referrals and RFPs for new builds and renovation projects.

Participating Design Firms

Qualify for Awards and Recognition

Recognition and awards happen in two ways.

Individual designers can receive recognition based on nominations by peers, vendors, and clients for efforts to include sustainability in the design process. Sign up to learn more.

Design firms can submit a design project for sustainability performance assessment by MindClick. Once complete, the results will be shared with the awards committee who will choose winners based on sustainability performance and design criteria.

Together we can drive progress and positive environmental and social impact through the power of design.

Through education and collaboration, we can ensure shared industry goals of net zero carbon emissions, healthy interiors, circularity, and social responsibility are understood and supported by design teams across every hospitality project.

When we come together with intention and vision, we all thrive.
